진화

Evolution. 과학적 증거자료를 바탕으로 자연의 (특히 생명체들의) 역사 (과거, 현재 그리고 미래) 를 추정하는 학문이다. 

각 매이저 대학에는 "진화학과"가 따로 설립돼 있어 수 백(천)명의 스칼라들이 자료를 수집하고 그 자료를 토대로 진화의 기본가설들을 테스트하고 검증해 왔다. 

물론 과학적 오류야 항상 있어왔고, 또 그럴 것이지만, 그 오류들은 또한 여러각도의 검증을 통해 고쳐지고 수정되어가는 것이 과학활동이다.  다시 말하자면, 진화가 incorrect theory 였으면 벌써 수십년 전에 사라졌을 학문이다.

그리 (진화를) 못 믿을 것도 없을 것 같은데....
