printer 고치기 DIY

오랜만에 비가 흠뻑 내려 새로 심어논 나무들이 아주 행복해 한다. 심고 가꾸고 하니 비를 기다리는 농부들의 마음을 조금이나마 이해하는 것 같다.  블로그 포스팅도 오랜만이다..

오피쓰에서 쓰고 있던 HP Color Laserjet 3800 printer 가  "Mem Test Failure Replace DIMM1" 에러 사인을 보내면서 일하기를 거부해 왔다. 구글에 위 에러사인을 쳐 넣으니, 여러가지 답이 뜨는데, 딴건 잘 모르겠고, 가장 쉬운 방법은 formatting board 를 새로 사서 바꾸는 방법. 돈과 시간 들어가는 작업이라 차라리 새것으로 바꾸는 것이 낳겠다 싶던차에, 다음의 방법이 눈에 뛴다. 
"Your issue a formatter problem.  It probably needs to be replaced.  One thing you can try which has worked on P2015 and P3005 laser-jets with formatter issues is to "bake" the board. " ...... "Preheat a "good" oven to 350F and when the oven is ready, place the pan with the board in the oven for exactly 8 minutes."..............."This is no joke.  It seems boards made during the last 2-5 years over in China develop cold solder joints.  Baking the board reflows the solder.."

밑져야 본전인지라 한번 해보기로하고, formatting board 를 집에 가져가서 구운 다음 기대반-실망반 테스트했더니, 거짓말같이 working 한다.  ^^! ^^!   옆 친구들에게 자랑했더니, 재믿단다. 

요즘엔 어떤 문제가 생기면 무조건 구글하면 원하는 답이 나오는 것 같다. 따로 Brain 을 달고 다닐 필요가 없어질 날이 조만간 오겠지.
